William “Tank” Middleton
THE LIFE & LEGACY OF William W. Middleton, affectionately known as “Tank,” was born on December 16, 1949, in Savannah, Georgia, to the late Christine Middleton. He was a proud graduate of Tompkins High School Class of 1968 and cherished every opportunity to fellowship with his classmates throughout the years.
Shortly after graduation, William honorably enlisted in the United States Air Force where he was stationed in Spain for 4 years and served his country with pride and dedication. William built a lifelong reputation as an exceptional cook. His kitchen was a place of love, laughter, and generosity. He unselfishly opened his home to others, always ready to prepare a meal and share fellowship. He was very proud of his family accomplishments & it brought him great joy. He kept keepsakes, newspaper clippings, and memorabilia celebrating the accomplishments of those he loved.
A man of strong faith, William loved the Lord and was a devoted member of New Generation Full Gospel Baptist Church in Savannah, Georgia. On December 16, 2025, William was called home to his eternal rest. He was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Christine Middleton, and his three older brothers, Frankie M. , Earl “Tina Bobby” Middleton, and Samuel Middleton.
He leaves to cherish his precious memories his three daughters: Dr. Tijuana Middleton of Los Angeles, California; Tyesha Hall (Jamaine) of Savannah, Georgia; and Faith Conner of Savannah, Georgia; along with one beloved bonus daughter, Eulethia Howard of Atlanta,Ga. He also leaves to cherish his memory one brother, Joseph Middleton, and sister, Jo Ann Middleton, both of Savannah, Georgia. William will be remembered for his warm heart, generous spirit, unwavering faith, and deep love for family. His legacy of kindness, service, and fellowship will live on in all who were blessed to know him. Though he has departed from this earthly life, his love remains rooted in the hearts of his family and friends forever.
