Mrs. Mary P. Mims, 62, peacefully entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, June 2, 2020 at Candler Hospital.
Mary was born October 17, 1957 in Savannah, Georgia as the youngest of eight children. She was a Richard Arnold High School graduate and worked in the medical field as a Patient Care Tech for many years. Mary’s most recent professional years were as part of the Candler Hospital staff. She was a member of St. Matthew’s Episcopal church and later attended Christ Memorial Baptist Church. Mary also loved being present for her family, especially her grandchildren.
Mary was preceded in death by her siblings Josie Mae Scott Oliver and Jessie Scott.
Left to cherish many memories: two sons, Earnest Marcel Mims of Colorado Springs, Colorado and Cherico Jene Mims (Dominique) of Savannah, Georgia; the loves of her life, her grandchildren, Jasmine Stafford, RiQuan Mims, JeneSha’ Mims, Danion Copeland, Dynasia Eason, Malaysia Eason, Maurice Roberson, and Bryson Mims; siblings, Annie “Tiny” Quarterman, Martha “Tot” Mims, Ada Graham, Beulah “Molly” Kelly, and John A. Mims. A host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
