Ms. Janice Jackson

Ms. Janice Jackson was born on Thursday December 7, 1950 in Savannah, GA to the parents of Roberta Ceclia Scarborough & Benjamin Jackson, Sr. She was the first of seven children.

She was educated in the public schools of Savannah Chatham county. Ms. Jackson's employment history included businesses and companies such as Taylor's Restaurant , St. Joseph's Hospital, Derst Baking Company and concluded at Armstrong University. She was indeed a Team Player. She was a beautiful soul with a big heart. She would do whatever she could for whomever she could no matter what the situation. She was a devoted mother. a hard worker and a great provider. She loved gently and  never gave up on family whatever the situation. To know her was to love her.

She was loved dearly and although her time on this earth has ended, our hearts our hearts and the love we hold dear will carry on her legacy, her memory and her spirit in everything we do.

On Saturday August 1, 2020, at Memorial Medical Health University, God's reached his hand out to bring Janice Home. She leaves to cherish for memory; four daughters; Lisa Jackson, Patricia Robbins (Calvin), Carla Gardner (Anthony) and Katrina Shellman (Ricky), one son, David Jackson; nine grandchildren, Rasheen Jackson, Ramon Jackson, Romello Jackson, Dominique Jackson, Tremell Grady, David Jackson, Kwamane Grady, Sr., and Kaleb & Kayden Shellman; four great-grandchildren, Keamane Grady, Jr. Mzyra Jackson, Meghan Jackson and Ryleigh Jackson; one brother, Leroy Jackson, four sisters, Vera Mae Jackson, Carolyn Jackson, Delores Collins (Titus) and Ella Marie Johnson (Reginald); one beloved niece, Jade Daniels, two beloved nephews, Reginald Johnson, II & Alex Collins and a host of other relatives and friends. 

Graveside services will be held 1:00 pm Saturday August 8, 2020 (Private) Public viewing will be held 3:00-6:00 pm Friday August 7, 2020 at the Chapel of Bynes-Royall Funeral Home.
