Mr. Larry Bostick Obituary

"Brothers and sisters, we do not want you to be uninformed about those who sleep in death, so that you do not grieve like the rest of mankind, who have no hope. For we believe the Jesus died and rose again, and so we believe the God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him."

                                                                                 Thessalonians 4:13-14

Larry Charles Bostick was born on January 27, 1952 in Miami, Florida to the union of Willie Bostick and Era Mae Bostick (both proceeded in death). Larry, affectionately known as “Stick”, was a world traveler. He loved his family, friends, cycling, music and so much more. While stationed in Panama, Larry met the love of his life Mirna and the two became one on August 10, 1987. Their only daughter, Jehan, was born from their union in 1989.

Larry served his country with pride and dedication, joining the Army in 1975 in Coral Gables, Florida. Having traveled the world with his family, Larry retired from the United States Army in 1997 with an honorable discharge after serving his country for approximately 22 years of dedicated service, 12 of which were in Foreign Services. Afterwards, Larry and his family made Guyton, Georgia their home.

Larry took great pride in his education. He was a proud Rattler, where he graduated from FAMU (Florida A&M University) in Tallahassee, Florida. However, Larry’s education did not stop there. Larry utilized every opportunity for professional development that was offered to him. From 1982-2013, Larry spent time developing his skills in Leadership and Management Skills Enhancement, as well as other training that were available to him.

Larry Charles Bostick departed this life July 3, 2021 as a very loving husband and proud father, brother, uncle, friend and mentor; and leaves to cherish his memory: his loving wife, Mirna Bostick (Guyton, GA), his daughter and heartbeat, Jehan Bostick (Arlington, VA), his sister, Andrea Graves (Miami Garden, FL), his sister, Wanda Bostick (Miami Garden, FL),
5 of Larry’s siblings preceded in death: Vernessa Bostick, Yvonne Bates, Gloria Jean Bostick, Carol Clay, and Bertha Alexander, and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

Mr. Larry Bostick entered the kingdom of Heaven on July 3, 2021 at Memorial Health University Medical Center.
