Mr. Anthony L. Sams 58, quietly entered in God's Kingdom on Friday July 31, 2020 at his residence with his love ones by his side. He was the son of Elmo and Thelma Allen Sams. His father preceded him in death. He was the 6th of 7 children born to this union. Anthony's oldest brother, Tommy Allen also preceded him in death.
He was educated in the public schools of Savannah Chatham county where he was a 1981 Graduate of Richard Arnold High School. He attended Savannah Technical Vocational College where he received his certificate in Carpentry. He loved fixing and building things
Anthony was a member of True Fellowship Worship Center in Garden City, Georgia, where he served as deacon under the pastoral leadership of the Bishop Waymon Jackson and he was a devoted member. He was a very loving and caring person with a sweet personality like his mother.
Anthony leaves to cherish his loving and fond memories; his devoted, loving and caregiver mother, Mrs. Thelma A. Sams; sisters: Elise S. Wilson (Carl) of Enterprise, AL, Patricia A. Shareef (Omar) of Savannah, GA; brothers: Terry Sams , Therion Sams, Melvin Sams (Diane) , Robert Reddick ,all of Savannah, GA ; nieces: Contrena L. Reese (Harvey) of Atlanta, GA, Precious Graham, Terrica Sams, Angel Sams and Imani Shareef all of Savannah, GA; nephews: Michael McMadden of Chicago, IL, Maurice Brown (Edyth), Yusef Jackson, Warren Roundtree, Avon Sams (Janika) and Arkeem Manigo; His devoted and best friend Shelton Norris and good friend, Mark Jenerette, and other relatives and friends.
Graveside services will be held 11:00 am Saturday August 8, 2020 at Oak Grove Cemetery. Bishop Waymon Jackson (True Fellowship Worship Center, Garden City, GA) officiating.
