DeMont Arki ("Bug Eye") Davis

DeMont Arki "Bug Eye" Davis age 39, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, February 5, 2022, at Memorial Health University Medical Center.

DeMont was educated in the public school system of Chatham County and attended H. V. Jenkins High School.

He was employed at various restaurants, and at the time of his demise he was employed with Outback Steakhouse. He participated and successfully completed the Recovery Place Program after two years.

He was a person of love, joy and peace. He was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone who needed

his help.  DeMont "Bug Eye" Davis was preceded in death by his loving mother whom he adored and took care of in her final days, Maria Coney Davis Simmons. 

He leaves to cherish his loving and fond memories: father, LaMont Mitchell, siblings, Lamonica Mitchell, DeAndra Davis, Robert Jivens, Tamieka Frazier, Quwana Mitchell, Arkie Frazer, LaMont Cox, grandparents, Annie Bell (Raymond) Joiner, aunts and uncles, Suprena Joiner, Andre Coney,  Frazier Mitchell, Deborah Hamilton, David Daniels, Hollis Mitchell, Tammy Dor, Nancy Randolph and Hope Johnson, Mildred (Carl) Hart, Dora Coney Lavonia (Atticus) Moore, Deborah Coney, Booker T. Coney, Antonio T. Coney, Dennis James Coney, Sidney J. Coney, and a multitude of loving nieces, nephews, cousins other relatives and friends 

Funeral will be held 1:00 pm Saturday February 12, 2022 at Metro Savannah Baptist Church, 1062 E. 36th St., Savannah, GA 31401. Interment Woodville Cemetery. Public viewing Friday February 11, 2022 3-6:00 pm at the Chapel of Bynes-Royall. Mask and Social Distancing is required.
