Obituary

The clock of life is wound but once

And no man has the power

To tell just when the hand will stop

At late or early hour.

Now is the only time you own,

Live, love, toil with a will,

Place no faith in "tomorrow" for

The clock may then be still.

We, Bynes-Royall Funeral Home Family and Staff, along with the Williams family pause to announce the transition of Mrs. Phoebe Baker Williams.  On Tuesday April 19, 2022, heaven dispatched the angels, and for this reason she received her wings, so that she could fly away from labor to reward and to land where joy shall never end.

She was born on June 22, 1938 to the late Mrs. Sarah Jane Walker in Beaufort, SC. At an early age, they moved to Savannah, Ga where she spent most of her life. She attended Catholic elementary school and Pope Pius 10th high school and graduated from A.E. Beach high school. She was a Nurse Assistant in Warner Robins and Savannah, GA until her retirement.

At an early age, she joined St. Benedict The Moor Catholic church where she served faithfully until the Lord called her home. She was a dedicated member of the Christian Catholic Women (CCW) Association. She loved children and her family. She brought joy to many people and could always make them laugh. She was joined in holy matrimony to Wallace M. Williams on April 7th, 1973.

She was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She leaves to mourn her loss, a loving husband, Mr. Wallace M. Williams, son, Mr. Richard L. Baker, five grandchildren, four great grandchildren, other relatives and friends.

Mass of Christian rites will be held:
