Mrs. Joy Antoinette Jones  Bruton went home to be with the Lord early Wednesday morning June 19th, 2019  at her home in Pooler, GA. surrounded by her family. Joy was born on February 2, 1966 to George F. Jones and Ruby D. Jones. Joy attended the public schools of Chatham county and graduated from Windsor Forest High school. She was a graduate of Savannah State College(University) with a B.S. Degree in Biology. She was also a graduate of Cambridge College with a Master's Degree in Education and a specialist Degree in Leadership. She taught school for over 27 years in Savannah Chatham County Public and Bulloch County Public School  systems. She has been honored as Teacher of the Year and served Team Teacher Leader. She taught in the Elementary and Middle schools and was one of the first Teachers to Teach in the 20th Century after school program. She was a member of the National Teacher's Association of Chatham and Bulloch counties, the NAACP, A.L.I.C.E  Hope Inc., PUSH Rally Movement International Inc., former member of The National Council of Negro Women, The Arleen Fuller Entertainment World Wide Inc. and was an ordained Minister. She loved children and never met a stranger. She was a loving mother, grandmother, friend, teacher and minister. She is preceded in death by her father, George F. Jones, one daughter and two grandchildren. She leaves to cherish her loving memories; three daughters, Zalleshka Coparropa, Zurqieda Bruton and Miracle Bruton; grandchildren, Adonis Coparropa, Zariyah Bruton, Hadiyah Clay. Jada Bruton, Nayha Bruton; a lving and devoted mother, Ruby D. Jones; brother, George Timothy Jones ; Auntie Shirley Jones Singleton and Auntie Margaret Carthon, adn a host of other relatives and firends.Funeral services will be held 12 noon Monday June 24, 2019 at  First Bryan Baptist Church  575 W. Bryan St.  Rev. Christopher Pittman, Pastor/Apostle Dr. Arleen Fuller, Eulogist. Interment Lincoln Memorial Cemetery. Public viewing 12 nooon til 6p Sunday June 23, at the Chapel of Bynes-Royall. Professional services entrusted to Bynes-Royall Funeral Home.
