Josephine Wyne Staley-Brigham (Nana) was born on January 6, 1945 in Savannah, GA to the late Joe and Effie Mae Hills-Wyne. Josephine's biological mother was the late Mary Holmes-Legree (St. Helena Island, SC).In 1963 she graduated from Sophronia Tompkins High School and went on to further her education at Fort Valley State College. Later on she attended and graduated from Savannah Technical College to begin her career as a Licensed Practical Nurse. In 1998 at the age of 53 she graduated from Savannah State University with a Bachelor's of Social Work. Over the years Josephine was employed at Tidelands Community Health Center, Curtis V. Cooper Health Clinic, Coastal State Prison and Georgia Regional Hospital. Josephine was baptized at an early age and became a devoted member to Friendship Baptist Church, Hudson Hill, Savannah GA. On Saturday afternoon, October 7, 2017, Josephine received a touch from the Lord to be called home with her daughter, Tonya Michelle Staley. She leaves to cherish her memory: four (4) sons, Vincent E. Staley-Nicole, Pastor Andrew L. Staley,Sr.,-Selena of Savannah, GA, Henry H. Brigham, Jr., of Costa Mesa, CA, and Joseph Brigham of Lithia Springs, GA and one daughter Janice M. Chambers-Raynell, Miami, FL.Three (3) grandchildren whom she adored:  Nyesa, Andrew, Jr. and Elijah Staley.Six (6) sisters, Viola Mitchell-William, Bertha Thomas-Alphonso, Susie Shepherd-Robert, Lillie Harris-Clarence, Mary Ford, Kathleen Williams-Curtis, two (2) brothers, Prince Legree, Jr.,-Margaret, and Simon Legree. Nineteen (19) nieces and nephews, cousins and a loving church family.  Dedicated friends, Leila Gray-Brown, Patricia Johnson, Lillie Reddick and Mother Bertha Lee Beckett.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 14, 2017 at Friendship Baptist Church, Hudson Hill at 11:00 a.m. Interment: Hill Crest Abby East
