Minnie Eloise Wimberly, 87, GA passed away on May 6, 2016.  She was born on January 21, 1930 to James Ellis and Essie Downs Thomas.  At the age of  3, her family moved from Philadelphia, PA to Savannah, GA.  She attended St. Mary Catholic School and Florence Street School.  She is a graduate of Beach-Cuyler High School Class of 1948.  She also attended Savannah State College.  She was employed by Howard's Labs where she worked for 22 years and she retired in 1985.  In 1957, she met Ernest Wimberly.  They were united in holy matrimony on June 11, 1960.  He preceded her in death. She joined Connor's Temple Baptist Church in 1943 and was baptized by Reverend Noah C. Conner.  She was a member of the Deaconess Board, Building Representative and a member of the January Birth Month Club, and the B/F Club and a former member of the Pastor's Aid Board.  She leave to cherish her precious memories: Nephews: Gerald (Gwen McIver) Hanshaw and Michael (Yvtte) Hanshaw of Savannah, GA; Niece: Wanda Joyce Miller of Atlanta, GA; 3 grand-nieces, 1 grand-nephew and host of other relatives and friends.
