Arthur Lee Thomas was born on November 10, 1945 in Dooley County Georgia to Willie Lee and Maggie Thomas.  He is preceded in death by his parents and four siblings: Tommy Lee, Robert, Skint, and Ruth.

Arthur Lee was raised in Cordele, GA and educated in the public school systems of Crisp County.  He relocated to Savannah, GA as a young adult where he met and married the love of his life Gertrude.

On Monday, May 16, 2016 before the setting of the sun, God, in his infinite wisdom called Arthur Lee home.

He leaves to cherish his memories, his loving wife: Gertrude; Sons: Bobby Joe Thomas and Sidney (Ria)  McFadden, III of Atlanta, GA; daughter; Roberta Nana (Melvin) Reddick of Atlanta; Grandsons; Romel Thomas and Sidney McFadden, IV of Savannah, GA and a host of nieces, nephews and other relative and friends.
