Ms. Brenda J. Hill 69, had a peaceful eternal transition on Saturday, April 27, 2019 at Hospice of Savannah.
She was a native of Savannah, Georgia and lived in Savannah most of her life. She was the daughter of the late Maggie Hill and Robert Cooper Sr. Ms. Hill was a devoted Christian and was baptized at Connor’s Temple Baptist Church at an early age. Brenda was a graduate of the 1967 class of Alfred Ely Beach High school. She worked diligently for many years at Savannah-Chatham County Board of Education, prior to retirement in 2005. She was a wonderful mother, loving sister, caring aunt, and a devoted friend. No greater impression could ever have been made on those who knew her. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Johnny “Papa Fox” Hill and Bernard “Tityman” Mosley.
Surviving is a loving son: Kareem Hill of Savannah; 2 brothers,, Vincent M. Hill (Lori) of Hawaii and LaRue Mosley of Savannah; two very special sister-in-laws, Gloria Bates (Ben) of Savannah, and Janice Stephens (Dan) of Savannah; two very special cousins, Yvonne Roberts (Ernest) of Savannah, Edward “Heavy” Kearse (Clarise) of Savannah; three nieces; four nephews; and twenty-two grand nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends. She also leaves a special grand dog "Bentley".
Graveside services are scheduled for 10:00am Saturday May 4, 2019 at Lincoln Memorial Cemetery. Rev Dr. Daniel Stevenson, Presiding Elder Savannah North AME Church Eulogist. Viewing 6:00-7:00pm Friday May 3, at the Chapel of Bynes-Royall.
