My deepest condolences to all the love ones of the dearly departed. The words found at 2 Corinthians chapter 1 verses 3 and 4 were especially comforting to me and my family during the loss of our parents and dear loved ones. It says, "Praised be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of tender mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our trials so that we may be able to comfort others in any sort of trial with comfort that we receive from God." May these words strengthen you too.

I would like to offer my condolences to the McKinney family. 87 years is quite an accomplishment according to the Bible (Psalm 90:10) and I know Ms. Jessie has left you with many precious memories and will be greatly missed. Hopefully this scripture will give you comfort because Jehovah God (Psalm 83:18) is promising us he will do away with man's worst enemy, death. This is found for us at Rev. 21: 4; "And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore." For more comforting scriptures please visit: http://bit.ly/1K38EFt. It has given me hope, strengthened my faith and helped me find the answer to Why? I know it will do the same for you. God's kingdom that Jesus taught us to pray for at Matthew 6: 9, 10 will bring about these wonderful promises including the resurrection. John 6: 40 tells us: "For this is the will of my Father, that everyone who recognizes the Son and exercises faith in him should have everlasting life, and I will resurrect him on the last day." Also, Titus 1: 2 tells us this promise of a resurrection: "is based on a hope of the everlasting life that God, who cannot lie, promised long ago. Isaiah 26:19 "Your dead will live......And the earth will let those powerless in death come to life." Isaiah 25:8 "He will swallow up death forever. For Jehovah himself has spoken it."
This is a wonderful promise made to us by our heavenly father and I pray it brings you comfort and hope. Jehovah invites you to throw all your burdens on him and he will sustain you in your time of grief. Again, I offer my sincere condolences to the family. I pray you will find comfort reading the above scriptures in your personal Bible and to please watch this beautiful video (song 144) entitled "Keep Your Eyes on the Prize" https://tv.jw.org/#en/video/VODChildren/pub-pksn_24_VIDEO

To the family,
My condolences to the loss of your love one. I know it is hard to deal with this grief-stricken pain. But God, whose name is Jehovah, stated in his word the Bible that “death will be no more”. (Psalms 83:18, 1 Timothy 3:16, Revelation 21:4). Also, his son, Jesus Christ, assured us at John 5:28,29: “Do not be amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out, those who did good things to a resurrection of life, and those who practiced vile things to a resurrection of judgment”. So, rest assured, you will be able to see your love one again.
I’ve attached a link to one of our tracts from our website, jw.org. The tract asks this question, “Can the Dead Really Live Again?” It has wonderful scriptural encouragement that will help from God’s word.
Again, my sincerest condolences,
J. Bryant
