I was Blessed to meet Artie in 1994 at Spanky's on River St. He talked me into having my portrait done, and we just really hit it off! I knew instantly he was one of the good guys! Unfortunately, my boyfriend didn't see it that way, and hated the picture on sight! 2 nights later, we were walking down River St. and passed Artie drawing someone. He saw me, dropped everything & came running, with a huge hug!! You can guess how that went over....Artie was such a gentleman, nothing was said. What a doll! In my infinite brilliance I had the portrait beautifully matted & framed & gave it to said boyfriend for Valentine's Day. I just rediscovered today the portrait in storage (I got it in the divorce a few years later) and googled Artie. I am so sorry for your loss, and I cry with you. He was a true Blessing. I will forever treasure this picture. Hugs and Prayers!!

Artie and I met a few times on River Street but my most honored memory is the day Artie and I were awarded the Abrams Certificate from 1 Battalion 75 Rangers at Hunter Army Air Field. Artie was recognized for his painting Rangers On Parade and I was recognized for the poem My Heroes In Black.
He was a kind and friendly soul.
God bless his family and his memory.

Milton Family,

Milton Family,

" Be of good courage, and he shall strengthen your heart, all ye that hope in the Lord." - Psalms 31:24 I worked with Artie at Shoney's , while we attended school. He was kind and a gentleman at all times. His smile I will always cherish, because when I think of him, I can see his smile. I am thankful too, because in 1996, I ran into him on River Street and he drew my picture. He will be missed by many, God Bless!

I know the Milton family and friends have saddened hearts because of losing Arthur recently in death. When our loved ones fall asleep in death, the pain and grief seems unbearable. So I want to share this beautiful scripture where our heavenly father, Jehovah, (Psalm 83:18) promises us that he is going to do away with man's greatest enemy, death. Rev. 21: 4; "And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore." When our loved ones fall asleep in death, the pain and grief seems unbearable. Our loving God Jehovah understands how we feel and he comforts us by means of his word the Bible. ." Jehovah invites you to throw all your burdens on him and he will sustain you in your time of grief. (Psalm 34:18) The Bible also enlightens us at Hebrews 2:14 "so that through his (Jesus) death, he (Jesus) might bring to nothing the one having the means to cause death, that is, the Devil." For more comforting scriptures please visit: http://bit.ly/1K38EFt It has provided me with many more scriptures that have given me comfort, strengthened my faith and helped me find the answer to Why? I know it will do the same for you. God's kingdom that Jesus taught us to pray for at Matt. 6: 9, 10 will bring about these wonderful promises including the resurrection. (John 5: 28, John 6:40, John 11:23-25) Isaiah 26:19 "Your dead will live......And the earth will let those powerless in death come to life." Isaiah 25:8 "He will swallow up death forever. For Jehovah himself has spoken it." It is my prayer these scriptures will give you comfort in your grief. Again, I offer my sincere condolences to the family.
